Soul Catcher

The sky is black, the thick clouds hide the stars. All that could be heard was the wind. Running, running, and running... But where do you go? There’s nowhere to hide from the creature that lurks in the shadows. You look to the sky expecting to see the large wings of it, but the sky is still dark and there is nothing within sight.


You suddenly realize how alone you feel, even with the fact she is nearby. No one ever sees her but you know she’s there, no one ever sees her until it’s too late. She rides on large silent wings, they glide on the cold night air gracefully. You run again and trip over a root in the ground, you quickly jump back to your feet in panic and look around expecting to see the cold red eyes that glow like fireflies in the night. But there is nothing but the sound of your heavy breathing and the chilling wind rustling the trees.


You calm down thinking you’re safe but then a distant roar echoes through the cold night air. Then you realize your still being followed… still being hunted by her. You start running again and hear the eerie roar, it’s almost like a whisper that follows where ever you go, almost ghostly. As you run you find yourself hiding under a tree hoping that she will give up and leave, but it doesn’t work as that roar now sounds closer causing your heart to skip a beat and pound harder, you run again. Just when you think things are quiet and safe you hear a growl behind you and you whirl around to look and see those red eyes staring into yours as the large dragon knocks you to the ground. She brings her reflective tail blade to your neck, you see your own reflection, your terrified face that doesn’t want to die, what you see.. is your soul… the last thing you get to see before she takes it from you with her tail blade.
